From veteran actors like Chiranjeevi to Allu Arjun, all the great actors in South India have historical films under their belt. Hari Hara Veera Mallu by Pawan Kalyan, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, also belongs to the same genre. The film should be released soon.

In the 2009 film Magadheera, Ram Charan first portrayed a historical figure. Upon its release, the film turned out to be a huge hit and starred Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead role.
His next release, RRR, is also a period film. Directed by director Baahubali SS Rajamouli, the highly publicized film is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries and the actor will be seen as Alluri Sitarama Raju, an independence activist and tribal leader from Andhra Pradesh.
Also starring Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, the film is set to hit theaters on March 25.

Prabhas played the lead role of Mahendra and Amarendra Baahubali in Rajamouli’s Baahubali series. In 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning was released and launched a new pan-Indian film movement.
Later, he reprized his role in Baahubali: The Conclusion which broke several box office records. The actor even increased his weight to 105 kg for the character.
