Local crews needed for filming feature films in the area – Ashcroft Cache Creek Journal

Calling everyone in the Ashcroft / Cache Creek area who are interested in working as a team on two film projects to be shot in our area!

The first project is a feature film to be shot in Kamloops from April 19 to May 4 (no weekends). Askem Productions is chain-producing the film for a Vancouver-based feature film production company and is currently hiring local team members for all departments.

These are paid positions, and potential employees must be eligible to work in Canada and have reliable transportation. If you can only work part-time, please indicate the dates when you are available. Anyone interested should send their curriculum vitae to [email protected] Note that it is possible to shoot another feature film production immediately after this one.

The second project is an action-drama project called Death pursuit, which will be filmed in the Ashcroft and Cache Creek area primarily from May 9 to June 10, 2021.

If you are interested in working on the project, please send an updated CV with your name and the title of the crew position you are interested in. If you are interested in more than one position, send another, a separate application with your CV attached. For each application, indicate your name and the position that interests you, for example:

Mary Smith, production assistant

Mary Smith, getting started

Mary Smith, costume designer

Mary Smith, Camera Department

Applicants must be legal to work in Canada; have their own means of transport (vehicle / carpooling); and work as a local rental.

Send your applications and CV to [email protected] The Thompson-Nicola Film Commission will put all applications / CVs received in a Dropbox for the producer and the production manager.
